We started Kriva with one stubborn idea: the Himalaya doesn't need more rooms — it needs the right ones. So instead of a hotel, we built villas into a hillside above the Mussoorie valley, and gave them the things a mountain stay actually needs. An open-air jacuzzi under the stars. A pool table for slow afternoons and late nights. A kitchen worth cooking in. Evenings that end on a balcony watching the valley disappear into fog, rather than at a reception desk.

Nothing here is a copy of anywhere else. Each home was designed around the slope it sits on, the light it gets, and the view it was lucky enough to inherit. The Upper Deck — our most premium villa — sits highest on the ridge, with three queen bedrooms, its own pool table, and panoramic views that stretch across the hills. That's slower to build and harder to scale — which is exactly the point.

We host a handful of guests at a time. Check-in is simple and unhurried, coordinated through our own staff rather than a lockbox and a code. The jacuzzi is prepared only when you ask for it, so it's ready properly, not rushed. We look after the ridge we sit on, and we open the next Kriva only when it has earned its place on the trail.
